These materials are full of natural character - subtle colour variations, markings, and tiny air pockets are part of the look, not flaws. Clean with mild soap and water only, and re-wax with a paraffin-based stone wax within two months of purchase, then every six months depending on use. Always use coasters and felt pads, and avoid direct contact with hot items or acidic foods. Cover or store indoors during winter or inclement weather.
